If removing "the man" is a protection for the congregation and no police are called, what does it say about the Witnesses view of the world? They have no compunction about sending predators out in the world without warning them. The protection of the flock is done by merely banishing them with an option to return, but they can rape in the meantime? Does this show contempt of the Witnesses towards their neighbor? How can you do this and "love your neighbor as yourself"? What is your view of this?

if they acknowledge their response to abuse claims was insensitive, unloving and inadequate they are denying the belief that "god's way" is best and risk losing abuse cases.

Johnamos, the flock is trained to be subservient to the elders and the edicts of the Governing Body. Many parents who have turned in molesters leave the religion because they could see through it. But many more kneel before "Christ's Brothers" and do not want to rock the boat. So they burn their children to Moloch er, Jehovah, by staying silent believing that they should wait on him! So I would agree with you if they were not abuse victims themselves. Simple minds easily controlled. -

did the governing body put it out there as preemptive damage control because they knew this was coming?
they must have had subpoenas giving them a heads up.

Will that ring true with JW's and will they dismiss this scandal because of that talk? I think the die-hard believers will buy into it. On the whole, if there have been over 1000 cases there will be Witnesses who know "someone" who was affected and can now talk about it as a secular matter. This will break some walls down. What do you think? -

People do what works. No brainer. These are the marketing ploys of today. First it was "Movies" with the Photodrama. Then a radio station for international broadcasts. Then door to door records of Judge Rutherfarts talks. Now its the web and a teleborg station. Same old strategy different tech. -

Whatever Happened to the Remnant?

he'd only been baptised for around 4 years, so his rise was quite remarkable.just one of his flock in the new cachement area was of the "remnant".
this lady was well into her 60's, childless but married.

As "new" anointed started to multiply, a trend seemed to be that they exhibited some narcissistic attitudes. A lack of humility seemed to be rampant. When I was a child they were all elderly and therefore sedate and pious from years as a Witness. The new anointed were all young and acted like they were special. Most were either whack jobs, evident by their extreme views, or literally heard voices. I would steer clear of them not because of an edict from the GB but because they seemed to be fanatics. -

Isn't it strange that when a Witness treats you like a human being instead of a victim of Satan's trickery they are a hero? The fact is that ANY worldly person will treat you that way and they are not anything special. They just don't know how bad a person you are (sarcasm towards the Borg) because they truly expect that everyone is the same in God's eyes. I hate it when witnesses who act like a rational human are considered a credit to the religion. They are actually showing its all BS. Don't forget that and get sucked back in.
